Renault Trucks is making waves at the Road Transport Expo 2024 with the debut of the UK’s first right-hand drive E-Tech T 4x2, proudly showcased at Stand B4. As the French manufacturer leads the charge in decarbonising urban and regional transport, this all-electric powerhouse is designed to meet the demands of productivity and performance. Boasting two E-Tech motors and six 90 kWh battery packs, the E-Tech T delivers a formidable 540 kWh of power, enabling an impressive range of up to 300 km on a full charge. Need more? An intermediate fast charge (250 kW) allows for up to 500 km after just one hour of charging. Comfort is paramount, with a high-spec cab featuring optional extras like a 4-point air suspension with ride-height control, a heated Comfort driver’s seat, and a premium leather steering wheel.

At Stand B4, visitors can also explore the E-Tech C 6x2 rigid, showcasing the future of electric vehicles in the construction sector. With a day cab and a 4,100 mm wheelbase, this model operates at a capacity of up to 26 tonnes, powered by two E-Tech motors and four 90 kWh battery packs that deliver 360 kWh and peak torque of 530 Nm. The electric power take-off from the 600V electric network further enhances its versatility.

Completing the electric line-up is the L2H1 E-Tech Trafic Red Edition, a nimble 3.1-tonne vehicle tailored for SME trades and fleet businesses. With a new 90 kW (120 bhp) electric motor and 52 kWh battery, it achieves a remarkable WLTP range of 297 km—boasting one of the best electric energy consumption figures in the market at just 18.7 kW/100 km. Designed with practicality in mind, the E-Tech Trafic offers a generous payload of 1,046 kg, along with an internal length of 2,937 mm, width of 1,662 mm (1,268 mm between arches), and height of 1,387 mm.

Taking center stage in Renault Trucks' internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup is the striking T480 High 6x2, equipped with a Turbo Compound engine for up to 10% fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions. Dressed in vibrant ‘Red Bright Orange,’ this eye-catching model features colour-matched details, a plush interior brimming with luxury extras, and a powerful 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine delivering 360 kW and 2,700 Nm of torque, all mated to an Optidriver AT 2812 gearbox.

Joining the T High is the formidable Renault Trucks C520 6x4 tractor unit, engineered for heavy haulage with an impressive 80-tonne capacity. Its efficient 13-litre engine produces a powerful 390 kW and 2,550 Nm of torque, paired with the robust Optidriver XTREM Xtended ATo 2613 gearbox, ensuring excellent traction and drivability. Finished in metallic grey with luxury interior features mirroring the T High, this sleeper cabbed unit is designed for both comfort and performance.

From Renault Trucks' latest distribution range, the D26 Wide 6x2 rigid, complete with an optional third steered rear fixed axle, showcases a modern design inspired by both the van and heavy-duty ranges. Enhanced safety equipment ensures protection for drivers and road users alike.

Visitors can also check out a vehicle from the Used Trucks by Renault Trucks range, with additional customer and specialist vehicles displayed throughout the Road Transport Expo event.

Taking pole position in the event’s Ride & Drive, attendees can experience two Renault Trucks vehicles: the T480 High 6x2 Turbo Compound with trailer, and the fully electric 18-tonne E-Tech D featuring a Solomon refrigerated body.
