DAF's journey began in 1928 with the establishment of Hub van Doorne’s Machine Factory. A few years later, the company introduced its first revolutionary lightweight semi-trailers. This innovation naturally led to the creation of DAF's first truck in 1949. The early model was a basic vehicle consisting of just a chassis, engine, grille, brakes, and a steering mechanism, leaving customers to source cabs from specialized coachbuilders.

Today, the contrast is striking. The New Generation DAF trucks are among the most efficient and safest on the market, with cab designs setting new standards for comfort and spaciousness. The DAF XG+ stands out as the company’s flagship, boasting an impressive 12.5 m³ of cab volume.

The DAF XG+ serves as the foundation for a special edition model, celebrating 75 years of DAF truck production. It is powered by the robust PACCAR MX-13 engine, available in either 480 hp/355 kW or 530 hp/390 kW variants, and features the renowned MX Engine Brake, considered the most powerful in the industry.

For optimal efficiency, the truck is equipped with a Full Aero Kit, including deflectors, fenders, and side skirts (in the FT 4×2 configuration). Paired with the DAF Digital Vision System and Corner View digital cameras, which come standard, these features ensure excellent aerodynamics and top-tier fuel efficiency.

Comfort is a top priority in this special edition, with luxurious heated swivel seats upholstered in leather. The truck also features a premium 8-speaker audio system, complete with a subwoofer for an exceptional sound experience, and a spacious 80-cm-wide relax bed as standard.

Each truck in this series includes an attractive ‘Driver Package,’ which comprises the DAF Night Lock, a microwave, luxury floormats, and a well-stocked goodie bag.

Celebrating ‘75 Years of DAF Truck Production,’ this special edition is finished in a sleek Silver Metallic color, accented by distinctive black and yellow striping to mark this milestone. The Alcoa Dura-Bright rims add the perfect finishing touch.

This limited-edition model is now available for order, with deliveries scheduled to begin after the summer.
